Jane McMaster is a Registered Nurse with 39 years of nursing experience. She was hospital trained in New Zealand in 1987 and began her career in hospital care, spending five years in operating theatre nursing before working for 25 years in intensive care.
Her qualifications include an ICU certificate, a graduate certificate specialising in ICU, and a Bachelor of Health specialising in ICU. Jane moved to Australia in 2000 when her husband was transferred for work, and became an Australian citizen in 2018.
Jane moved into private practice in 2021 after sustaining an injury from a patient while working in ICU. She enjoys the ongoing interactions with patients in general practice and values the opportunity to help improve health through care plans, health assessments, vaccinations, and practical health education.
She is especially passionate about providing clear health information and has instigated a nurse-led clinic focused on lung health. Outside work, Jane enjoys gardening and walking every day with her husband and their two dogs. She is married with two children and three grandchildren.
